Orders are shipped Monday – Friday. Expedited orders must be placed by 11am PST to ship the same day. Orders shipping ground have a processing time of 2-3 business days.

Where we ship –

We ship domestically as well as internationally. If you have a question about domestic shipments, or shipments going to Canada, please email kat@sherline.com.

How we ship - 

Most of our orders ship via UPS or FedEx. However if the items weigh less than a few pounds, we will most likely ship via USPS to save you money. Since we do ship most of our orders via UPS/FedEx, our website will only allow you to choose that as a shipping option. However there is a comments box on the shipping selection screen where you can write in your desired shipping method.

Small orders going outside of the US will almost always be sent by USPS to help save on shipping and import costs. Orders going to APO/FPO boxes will also be sent via USPS.

We will adjust the shipping charge after your order has shipped out, and then send you an updated receipt. Your credit card is not charged automatically when you place the order, but after your order has shipped, which gives us the liberty to make any changes needed to the shipping method. 

Shipping rates - 

We do not charge a flat rate for shipping because of the variations in weight for our products. Instead we charge you what the shipping company charges us. Our website uses a shipping calculator based on the daily rates for UPS/FedEx based on the weight of the shipment. You can also have us use your UPS/FedEx account number to charge your shipping to. You can either write your account number in the comments box on the shipping selection screen or email it to kat@sherline.com

Order tracking -

You will receive an automated email from UPS, USPS or FedEx with your tracking information once the order ships. If you have registered an account with us you can also find the tracking number for any order by logging into your account and viewing your order history.

In store pick up -

You can pick up your order via will call at our Vista location. Just enter that you'd like to will call your order in the comments box on the shipping screen and when you'd like to pick up your order. You can find more information on will call orders here

Small orders are typically ready within an hour after the order is received. Larger orders, such as machines, may take a few hours to get together so it’s best to call ahead to check stock and lead time.

Stock & Backorders -

All items are normally in stock, however backorders do occur. If your order contains multiple items and one of them is on back order we will charge you for the entire order and then ship the backordered part once it’s in stock at no additional charge.

Lead times - 

We aim to ship orders within 2-3 working days for domestic orders and 4-5 working days for international orders. However this can sometimes be longer due to circumstances such as order volume and backorders. Larger orders may have a longer processing time as well.

We also have a few special order items that have longer lead times, because they are made to order, and those lead times will be posted on that items page.

Delivery lead times (domestic only)-  

UPS/FedEx ground – 5-7 business days 
UPS/FedEx 3rd day – 3 business days 
UPS/FedEx 2nd day - 2 business days 
UPS/FedEx Overnight – 1 business day

USPS First class - 3-7 business days
USPS Priority - 2-3 business days
USPS Express - 1-2 business days

Please note that the shipping times do not include the day it was shipped.

International orders - 
*Please note this does not include Canada

Because we cannot verify international credit cards, we do not dropship to the US for international customers. This includes using forwarding companies. Your order will be cancelled without notice. 

Payment for orders shipping out of the country will also need to be paid via bank wire transfer, and an additional fee may apply. Again this is to protect us against fraud as we cannot verify that the credit card belongs to the person who placed the order.

Customs, Duties and Taxes for all orders shipping outside of the US –

Orders shipped outside of the United States may be subject to import taxes, customs duties and fees levied by the destination country. The recipient of an international shipment may be subject to such import taxes, customs duties and fees, which are levied once a shipment reaches the recipient's country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be fulfilled by the recipient; Sherline has no control over these charges, nor can we predict what they may be.

Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for more information. When customs clearance procedures are required, it can cause delays beyond our original delivery estimates.
